What steps should be taken by osteoporotic patients to prevent fracture?
Reducing the chances of falls by common measures like
Using a rubber bath mat in the shower or tub
Avoid walking on slippery surfaces, such as ice or wet or polished floors
Keeping floors free from clutter
Make sure you have grab bars in the bath or shower
Keep the household sufficiently lit
Install handrails along indoor and outdoor staircases, hallways and anywhere you feel you need a little extra support
